ANTICIPATED START DATE: 7/1/2025
 
LOCATION: Gotsch Intermediate School (Grades 3-5)
 
DETAILS: 9 ½-month professional position (1.0 FTE) for the 2025-26 school year, with paid sick and personal leave. District-provided benefits package that includes health, dental, life and vision insurance. 
 
COMPENSATION: Salary for this position is in accordance with the 2025-26 Teacher Salary Schedule. Placement is determined by education and experience.
 
JOB SUMMARY: The Social and Emotional Learning Interventionist supports the development and implementation of a school-wide, classroom and individual student behavior management system.  This includes development, implementation and coordination of intervention plans that address students' inappropriate behaviors and provide a means to student success.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires a related bachelor’s degree; prefers a master’s degree
  • Requires a related Missouri Teaching or School Counseling Certification 
  • Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
  • Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Requires the ability to collect and analyze individual and universal social emotional data, and collaborate with school staff and parents for the purpose of designing and supporting plans for student success and safety
  • Requires knowledge of behavior management techniques
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires the ability to implement intervention strategies including: providing students with self-regulation capacity and the social skills necessary to develop meaningful relationships within the school community; providing therapeutic services that promote self-awareness, reflection, goal setting, and accountability; setting personalized daily behavior goals; providing sensory breaks/structured activities to help individual students return to learning; and visiting classrooms to observe students/support student progress
