The Pleasant Hill R-III School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Counselor to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year!
Our ideal candidate will work closely with students to support their social-emotional development, provide academic guidance, and expose students to post secondary options. This role involves working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure all students can thrive. The qualified candidate should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Certificate in School Counseling.

Key Responsibilities:
- Articulate an understanding of a comprehensive school counseling program.
- Facilitate effective group and individual counseling sessions.
- Demonstrate a strong background with responsive services.
- Develop and provide guidance to students regarding personal plans of study.
- Demonstrate experience working with at-risk students.
- Articulate a plan to work collaboratively with staff and outside agencies to support student learning.
- Demonstrate effective teaching experience at the secondary level. (Preferred)
- Describe their experience with standardized testing.
- Possess a familiarity with Launch.
- Salary schedule placement acknowledging highest level of education and ALL years of previous teaching experience as allowed by the district salary schedule
