DETAILS:
- Position is subject to adequate enrollment and is a temporary summer position
- No fringe benefits
- Program location: Mesnier Primary School (“on call” for Affton High School)
- Positions needed may include Kindergarten through 5th grades (“on call” for 6-12)
- Does not include any scheduling responsibilities
- Summer School employment is a commitment to work all days in the program
TIME FRAME:
- Tentative program dates: June 5, 2025- July 3, 2025 (No School June 19th)
- Program for Grades K-5: 20 total days (Total stipend is $4,620.00)
- Grades K-5 will be in session Monday - Friday, 7 hours/day (+ 20 min. lunch)
- Teachers work Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day (+ 20 min. duty free lunch)
- Position also works equivalent of 2 days, for pre/post program preparation
- Juneteenth on June 19th is a non-work/school day
- Dates may be adjusted by administration as needed
- K-5 Summer School pay date TBD
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a related bachelor’s degree; prefers a master’s degree
- Missouri Teaching Certification (K-12) or Missouri Counselor Certification (K-12) required; must have the appropriate certifications to work with all (K-12) students
- Requires the ability to implement intervention strategies including: providing students with self-regulation capacity and the social skills necessary to develop meaningful relationships within the school community; providing therapeutic services that promote self-awareness, reflection, goal setting, and accountability; setting personalized daily behavior goals; providing sensory breaks/structured activities to help individual students return to learning; and visiting classrooms to observe students/support student progress
