Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs, goals, and learning style.
- Administers developmental screenings, formal assessments, observations, etc for the purpose of assessing student competency levels, summarizing results, determining eligibility and/or developing IEP's.
- Regularly assess and track student progress toward IEP goals using formal and informal methods, adjusting instruction as necessary to meet each student’s evolving needs.
- Help students build social skills, self-regulation, and confidence through tailored activities and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Maintain open communication with families to keep them informed of their child’s progress, address concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support learning at home.
- Keep accurate records of student progress, IEP updates, and communication, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Attend IEP meetings, collaborate with school staff, and participate in professional development to stay updated on best practices in special education.
- Salary schedule placement acknowledging highest level of education and ALL years of previous teaching experience as allowed by the district salary schedule
