MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) required
  • Experience in accounts payable/purchasing software preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare 1099 forms and maintain tax-exempt documentation
  • Communicate with internal and external parties (vendors; local, state, and federal agencies) for accurate processing of purchase orders
  • Maintain a wide variety of purchasing information, files, and records for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance
  • Manage the district purchasing card program, including training on procedures
  • Assist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies, including cooperative purchasing for services and/or products
  • Participate in the development of specifications and documents for issuing and awarding bids
  • Administer any on-line purchasing programs, i.e. Office Emporium, Staples, etc
  • Perform general recordkeeping and program-specific clerical functions
  • Verify approval of all invoices and check requests
  • Process documents, material, and checks needed for distribution of funds meeting the district’s financial obligations
  • Reconcile vendor invoices with services rendered or received
  • Research discrepancies of purchasing information and/or documentation
  • Respond to written and verbal inquiries from auditors, board, staff, vendors, etc
  • Verify a variety of purchasing related information for the purpose of ensuring accurate distribution of funds
  • Coordinate office supply orders for Central Office
  • Serve on the district’s technology committee
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls
  • Maintain vendor contracts and agreements for the district
  • Manage employee mileage and reimbursement expenses
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring efficient and effective functioning of the work unit

TERMS:  Full-time with benefits; 12 month contract; $19.86+ per hour with possible steps for experience
EFFECTIVE:  Immediately
SCREENING TO BEGIN: Immediately; open until filled
CLASSIFICATION:  Non-exempt

Recommendation to be given at the February 2025, Board of Education meeting.
