ANTICIPATED START DATE: Immediately Upon Hire

LOCATIONS: Mesnier Primary School
 
DETAILS:  9.5-month support staff position, on a 206 day calendar for 2024-25, with district-recognized holidays and paid sick and personal leave. This is a full-time, 32.5 hours per week position, with a district provided benefits package that includes employee health, dental, life and vision insurance.
 
COMPENSATION:  According to the Support Staff Pay Schedule within the Site Facilitator range. The pay range for this position begins at $15.70-$18.11 per hour. Placement within the range on the Support Staff Pay Schedule is determined by like experience and education. 
 
JOB SUMMARY: The School-Age Site Facilitator monitors and delivers before and after school program services and manages the daily operation of the before and after school program site including communication with the appropriate school staff, lesson/activities planning and related decision-making, and maintaining a safe school site environment for school-age children.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two year associate’s degree/two year certificate program in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or 60 college credit hours in related coursework is required
  • Prior experience in coaching/supervising children in a camp, educational or daycare program, and in designing and implementing a range of creative activities based on program goals, objectives, and the needs and qualities of students are required
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work from written or oral instructions under limited supervision are required
  • The ability to listen well and respond to questions from parents, staff, and students in a positive, professional manner is required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required
  • The ability to maintain confidential information is required
  • The ability to effectively supervise program staff, strong interpersonal skills in working with children, and the ability to effectively supervise school-age children are required
  • The ability to redirect and interact positively with students is required
  • The ability to develop effective working relationships with school-age students and the school community is required
  • The knowledge of working with children with disabilities is required
  • The ability to perform essential functions of the position is required
  • The ability to be dependable and punctual is required
  • Willingness to complete job-related training is required
  • The ability to work independently, use good judgment, think quickly and rationally, solve problems, and respond to stressful situations in a calm, caring manner are required
  • The ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the assignment is required
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in working with children, and ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification during term of employment are required
  • Recent child care compliance training by the Missouri Department of Family Services or willingness to complete is required
  • The ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population is required
