- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to equity and social justice in all aspects of the school’s environment and culture.
- Co-design and implement a strategic process designed to promote learning opportunities for children which aligns with the district vision.
- Implement the teacher and staff evaluation processes with fidelity and in a manner that is conducive to staff’s learning.
- Work to create and maintain a culture of inclusion for all families and community members.
- Utilize a comprehensive communication plan that responds to stakeholders' needs, reflects the most current communication tools, and promotes engagement with stakeholders both inside and outside the schools.
- Partner with the school’s Parent Teacher Organization to support Bristol’s educational programming.
- Create and sustain a culture in which staff are continually learning from students, colleagues, external resources, and community resources.
- Utilize data and information to ensure that the unique learning needs of children are being monitored and attended to.
- Create a culture in which new and fresh approaches are openly shared and tried, and staff and students can learn from their failures and successes.
- Demonstrate competence and care in approaching each day focused on creating an educational environment in which the academic and personal needs of all students are met so they may be happy, healthy, confident, and contributing members of our school community.
- Demonstrate a commitment to change and the necessary skill set to help lead students, staff, and families through the change process in an empathetic manner.
- Recruit, hire, and develop staff who fully believe in the school/district's principles and purpose and will enhance learning for all and/or the effectiveness of the school’s operations.
- Respond to requests for information from the central office, state, federal, government, and others efficiently and effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
- Master’s Degree, Ed.D., and/or Ph.D. in school administration/leadership
- Experience as an administrator is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
- Must have appropriate Missouri principal certification
