Orchard Farm School District is seeking an Assistant Principal to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year! Orchard Farm Middle School (5-6) and Orchard Farm Junior High School (7-8)
An Assistant Principal is the instructional leader for his or her building and is responsible for the daily operation of the building.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Has supervisory responsibility over all building staff, except the principal.

Position start date: July 1, 2025 (12 month contract)
Hiring Timeline:
We anticipate Board recommendation to hire on December 17, 2024
Salary:
Starting $91,000. Commensurate with education and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or higher in educational administration
- Valid Missouri Principal certificate for the appropriate grade level
- Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations and law
- Knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction
- Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form to staff members, other administrators and the Board of Education
- Ability to problem solve
- Supervision of instruction
- Evaluation of staff
- Training of staff
- Making hiring recommendations to the Board
- General supervision of students
- Supervision of student activities and events
- Implementation of the professional development plan
- Maintaining building records
- Preparation and management of the building budget
- Creation and update of student handbooks
- Positive interaction with students
- Administration of student discipline
- Motivation of staff
- Facilitate Data Team Meetings
- Communicate school priorities through social media
- Performs the duties of the principal in the absence of the principal
- Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor and the superintendent
- Board meetings
- Student activities and events
- IEP/504 meetings
