Job Description:
Summary: Maintains, organizes and administers the overall program of interscholastic athletics.
 
Position duties may include:
  • Help monitor activities such as band, choir, speech & debate as well as academic team
  • Scheduling/contest confirmation
  • Game/Event Management
  • Finalize bus transportation for athletic teams as well as schedule equipment vans (if necessary)
  • Organize and monitor facility scheduling for gyms and athletic fields
  • Assist with facility upkeep that includes tech support of scoreboards/controllers as well as sound equipment at our various venues
  • Understanding of the MSHSAA by-laws and website
  • Attend Conference meetings and State association meetings
  • Provide schedules to official assignors for the respective sports or the hiring of officials
  • Verify that products for concession stands are ordered and delivered in a timely fashion
  • Verify that contest workers are hired for all home games and events
  • Understanding the Athletic budget and SISFIN
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Education Administration or Athletic Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching and/or administrative experience
  • Courses in organization and administration of athletic programs
  • Valid Teaching Certification
