School Food & Nutrition Technician
3.75 Hour Position- Trautwein Elementary School
 
Description:
 
Responsible for preparing food items.  Operates kitchen equipment and follows safety and sanitation procedures to serve food:
 
Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of job-related prior work experience.
• Ability to effectively operate computer and use departmental software.
• Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

 
Essential Job Functions include the following:

• Prepares hot food including set-up, cooking and/or serving.
• Assembles and serves cold food in correct portions.
• Reads and follows recipes.
• Operates kitchen equipment.
• Checks and assures correct temperature of food, refrigerator and freezer.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen facilities, equipment and dishes.
• Stocks and dates food and supplies.
• Sets up, maintains and breaks down food service lines.
• Serves food to students and staff.
• Stores and labels leftover food.
• Maintains student meal accounts.
