Job Description:
2024-2025 School Year

Primary Objective: Under the direction of the building principal, assist certified staff in supporting students; monitor and report student progress.

Essential Functions: 

• Assist teachers with instruction of individual and small groups of students in the classroom
• Assist counselors in their support of students
• Assist with building supervision including but not limited to hallway, lunch, and recess
• Assist with Restorative Center intake process.
• Facilitate Restorative conversations with students to help them understand and repair harm that they caused due to misconduct.
• Supervise Restorative lunch detentions that require them to reflect on their misconduct.
• Engage in positive and proactive communication with staff, administrators, students, and parents when appropriate.
• Assist students with assignments and ensure work is completed and submitted to teachers.
• Assist students with creating and following through on plans for harm reparation.
• Assist students with setting attainable goals to achieve while placed in the Restorative Center.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of (60) sixty college hours
Experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience is required.
Certification: Missouri teacher certification and/or substitute teacher certification preferred
