Job Description:
POSITION: Teacher I / Teacher II
DEPARTMENT: Education
Starting Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 annually
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct instruction to students requiring special education in a therapeutic educational milieu.
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) that meet state requirements
  • Provide individualized direct instruction
  • Work with therapy staff to meet both academic and effective goals
  • Maintain a trauma-informed classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Collect systematic student progress data
  • Participate in IEP meetings as requested
  • Adhere to the core values and mission of Cornerstones of Care
  • Participate in on-going staff development activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree for Teacher I; Master’s Degree required for Teacher II
Certification Required:   Be eligible for or hold Missouri certification in teaching field
Experience:  1-3 years of experience preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening.  This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
