Job Description:
Alta Vista is a small high school with 190 students and a 20:1 student-teacher ratio. We are part of the Early College High School Initiative (www.earlycolleges.org), a program that will prepare our students to take college classes starting their junior and senior year in high school. We believe small class size is a key to effective instruction and despite being small, we pay salaries that are competitive with area urban and suburban school districts. We are currently seeking a certified part time Reading Specialist/Special Reading for the 2010-2011 school year.
