The Teacher Assistant will work with the Kindergarten Lead Teacher to create a classroom atmosphere that inspires intellectual growth and an enthusiasm for learning. The successful candidate must be able to manage student behavior to ensure student learning while establishing a culture of high expectations, diversity, cultural sensitivity and understanding. Our teachers must maintain ongoing communication with students and parents about the students' level of instruction, academic and social progress.
The Teacher Assistant is an integral part of the SLLIS team and is expected to embody the school's Vision and Mission. St. Louis Language Immersion School is committed to diversity, social justice, student inquiry and professional collaboration. Our Teacher Assistants will work closely with parents, students, and the community to support our students.
