Announces the immediate vacancy for
Director of Facilities
Responsibilities
- Prioritizes, assigns and supervises the completion of repair and maintenance projects through the work order system
- Oversees and refines a preventive maintenance program
- Reviews and approves for payment bills relating to construction and facilities projects (contracts, testing laboratories, consulting engineers and surveying firms)
- Establishes bidding and construction schedules
- Supervises the timely completion of construction projects within budget
- Coordinates planning for new construction of construction projects within budget.
- Coordinates planning for new construction and renovation with architect and school district personnel, including cost estimates
- Meets with building principals on a regular basis regarding the completion of work orders, cleanliness of the buildings and safety and security of pupils, staff and patrons
- Develops and maintains the district -wide facilities plan
Qualifications:
- Four year degree in related field
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities operations and construction management
- Experience in supervision, management and evaluation of staff; excellent human relations skills
- Strong background in preparing RFP's, RFQ's, negotiating cost and monitoring contract progress and cost
