Job Description:
The Confluence Academy-South City Campus (K-8) in St.Louis, MO is searching for an ESL teacher for immediate hire. The teacher will fully promote the linguistic use of English to students with diverse backgrounds. The teacher will immediately start to use a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to present material to students. Teachers will implement school and district policies and procedures, administer different forms of student assessments, communicate with parents and other team members about student progress, and plan for further instruction. Teachers will work to integrate technology into their teaching and professional activities.
We have extremely high expectations for student achievement and behavior, rigorous instruction, and a positive achievement-oriented school culture. We are looking for a teacher whose classroom experience exemplifies these ideals.
Requirements
- Eligible candidates must meet highly qualified teacher definition under No Child Left Behind act:
- Full state certification
- An accredited Bachelor's degree or higher
- Familiarity with urban public school systems.
- Ability to work cooperatively with all members of the staff and communicate effectively with parents.
- Previous teaching experience preferred or other work with children.
- Previous work (professional) references.
- Must have current authorization to work in the U.S.
