Job Description:
Our Confluence Academy-Walnut Park Campus in St. Louis, MO is seeking 1st and 2nd Grade teachers who will promote learning in the core content areas of early education. The teacher will immediately start to use a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to present material to students. Teachers will administer different forms of student assessments, communicate with parents and other team members about student progress, and plan for further instruction.
Excellent teachers make the difference in future opportunities for our students, especially in the first few years of a child's education. We have extremely high expectations for student achievement and behavior, rigorous instruction, and a positive achievement-oriented school culture. We are looking for a teacher whose classroom experience exemplifies these ideals.
Requirements:
- Eligible candidates must meet highly qualified teacher definition under No Child Left Behind act:
- Full state certification
- An accredited Bachelor's degree or higher
- Proficiency in general education subject matter
- Familiarity with urban public school systems.
- Ability to work cooperatively with all members of the staff and communicate
- effectively with parents.
- Previous teaching experience preferred or other work with children.
- Previous work (professional) references.
- Must have current authority to work in the U.S.
