Derrick Thomas Academy in Kansas City, MO is hiring immediately for a Kindergarten teacher for the 2008-2009 school year. The school, located at 201 E. Armour Blvd., serves approximately 900 students in grades K-8. DTA is the only school in the nation affiliated with the NFL. During the school day, teachers are given 2 professional development times; one for grade level team meetings and a personal plan time. The school offers a comprehensive benefits package for the staff and several extra-curricular activities for the students.
